My Story
My interest in coaching and workplace wellbeing developed almost by accident. Having worked across the private, public and charitable sectors in frontline psychotherapy, therapeutic, acute, crisis and mental health services, as well as in middle and senior leadership roles, I began to notice a growing number of clients struggling particularly within their work environments.
Over time, more and more professionals from corporate, public and charitable organisations came to see me. Many were experiencing chronic stress, burnout, trauma, addiction, compulsive behaviours, relationship difficulties, cross-cultural challenges and a broad range of other personal struggles. It became increasingly clear that these challenges were not only affecting their wellbeing but also preventing them from performing at their best, and finding fulfilment in both their professional and personal lives.
The previously prevailing idea that people can simply “leave their personal life at the door” when they arrive at work is no longer realistic—if it ever was. Our personal and professional lives are deeply interconnected., and meaningful, lasting change often requires both to be understood together.
As I worked with more and more individuals, I also noticed something else. Sometimes the challenges weren’t just about the individual, but about aspects of workplace culture. People were investing significant time and energy in changing themselves, only to return to the same organisational cultures that had been a significant influencing factor in their struggles, and also, remained unchanged. It became clear that supporting individuals alone was not enough. If lasting change was to happen, it couldn’t just be on the individual to be accountable for creating change. Organisations also needed to create healthier cultures where people could thrive, find greater purpose and experience more fulfilment at work.
I to, had had my own adverse experiences here and there and I want to be part of the solution. These realisations ignited my passion for helping both individuals and organisations overcome these challenges. Happy employees means high-performing workplaces…good for everyone. It inspired me to develop an integrated approach that combines psychotherapy, coaching and workplace wellbeing consultancy to improve employee wellbeing, enhance professional performance and create lasting, sustainable change.
Today, my purpose remains the same: to help individuals thrive personally and professionally, while supporting organisations to create healthier, happier and higher-performing workplaces.
My Professional Background
For more than 25 years, I have worked across the private, public and charitable sectors, supporting individuals, leaders, teams and organisations through complex psychological, relational and workplace challenges.
Alongside my therapeutic practice, I spent 12 years in middle and senior leadership roles, giving me first-hand experience of the realities, pressures and responsibilities faced by leaders and organisations. This combination of clinical expertise and leadership experience enables me to understand workplace challenges from both an organisational and individual perspective.
Today, I work with individuals and organisations across the UK and abroad, delivering integrated coaching and workplace wellbeing consultancy that helps people improve wellbeing, strengthen leadership, overcome barriers to performance and create healthier workplace cultures.
